my journey in conscious camerawork

photography has been an integral part of my life since my teen years. making and sharing photos allowed me to express what felt beautiful, moving and real. i've kept a camera in hand to document life unfolding around me.

in college, i discovered the power of photojournalism– the ability to tell stories through images, and make people feel something. i shifted from focusing on singular stills to holistic photo stories.

for the past few years, i’ve been living in a rural, intergenerational community, tending to–and being tended by–land and community relationships. there, i’ve had the gift of documenting our sweet life together. i’ve learned the delicate dance of documenting without distracting from the moment. i’ve grown into my role as documentarian: photographing the milestones and the mundane with reverence.

my photography is a reflection of who i am: someone who values connection, presence, and authenticity. i approach each moment with the goal of capturing the real, unscripted emotions that unfold.

—the power of storytelling

photography, for me, is about sharing part of the human experience.

through storytelling, my goal is to connect people with the universal emotions we all share. each story i document is a glimpse into the human experience of connection, community and purpose.

i believe that images have the power to connect and inspire us. they can offer new perspectives and possibilities that we didn’t know existed. a photo, a story, and experience can be the seed that changes something within us.
